Stances are most important
part or element of Kihon. A stance can be compared to foundation of building.
Stances play a vital role in lowering centre of gravity and brings stability.
Tachi can be divided into 4
categories :
1. Outer Tension Stances : They
involve outward pressure on knees and thighs. They have lowest centre of
gravity. Also they are very exhaustive on leg muscles, hence, ideal for
training of muscles.
